How to Order a Custom Portrait in Dubai

Cover artwork for How to Order a Custom Portrait in Dubai

A hand-drawn portrait is one of those gifts that stops people mid-sentence. Not because it is expensive or rare, but because someone sat with a photo of them for twenty, thirty, forty hours and drew every eyelash by hand. If you have been thinking about ordering one — for an anniversary, a wedding, a parent, or simply for your own wall — here is exactly how it works with me, from first click to delivery day.

Step 1: Choose your style and size

Start on the order page. You will pick between a black-and-white pencil portrait, a colored pencil portrait, an acrylic painting or Arabic calligraphy, then choose a size from A5 up to larger custom formats. The price updates instantly as you choose — no waiting for a reply, no awkward negotiating. What you see is what we confirm.

A quick sizing rule of thumb: A5 suits a desk or shelf, A4 is the classic gift size, and A3 and above are made for walls. One face fits comfortably on any size; for couples or families, bigger paper gives every face the detail it deserves.

Step 2: Share the photo

Your portrait can only ever be as good as the photo behind it. This is the step people worry about most, and it is the easiest to get right:

  • Sharp beats pretty. A crisp, slightly boring photo makes a better portrait than a beautiful blurry one.
  • Natural daylight is your friend. Near a window is perfect; harsh flash flattens faces.
  • Skip the filters. Beauty modes smooth away the tiny details that make a face feel alive — and those details are exactly what I draw.
  • Not sure? Send options. You can also share photos on WhatsApp after ordering and I will help you pick.

Step 3: I confirm everything on WhatsApp

Once your order lands, I look through your photo and notes, then message you to confirm the details, the final price and the timeline before any drawing begins. Most pieces take two to four weeks depending on size and detail. If you have a fixed date — an anniversary, an Eid morning — tell me and I will be honest about what is possible.

Step 4: Delivery and cash payment

I deliver across all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Payment is cash on delivery: you pay only when the finished artwork is actually in your hands. No online payments, no deposits, no card details.

Why the slow way is worth it

Everything I make is drawn by hand — no prints, no filters, no AI. You will see progress photos while I work, and the finished piece arrives signed, protected with fixative and ready for a frame.

If a moment in your life deserves more than a photo gallery buried in your phone, start your order here — it takes about two minutes, and the drawing takes care of the rest.
